Founded in 2000, and headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, with our continuously improving next generation platform, we have supported over 700 of the leading programs in the industry in both the United States and Canada.

Executive Management Team

Our committed and consistent executive management team is experienced with significant payments and financial processing knowledge, and collectively, with all of our associates, become an extension of your team.

CLAY WILKES, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Wilkes is the CEO and founder of Galileo the recognized leader in advanced payment processing solutions. Formerly, Mr. Wilkes was the founder and CEO of I-Link, Inc. He has extensive business, banking, and corporate finance experience and a strong technical background. In his role as founder of I-Link, Inc., he authored the voice over IP patent. He previously served as a consultant to IBM Corporation and managed development groups at Novell. He is the Managing Partner and founder of Foundation Capital LLC, a private equity fund.

BRYAN BROOKS, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr. Brooks is a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Brooks worked as an audit manager for the public accounting firm KPMG, LLP, where he served both public and private companies operating in a variety of industries. Mr. Brooks earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.

CHRIS TRUJILLO, GENERAL COUNSEL

Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Trujillo worked with the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney LLP, an international law firm, where he was outside counsel to Galileo. He focused his practice on e-commerce, emerging companies, mergers and acquisition and securities laws. Mr. Trujillo received his Juris Doctorate degree from Brigham Young University and his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Professional Accountancy (tax emphasis) degrees from Weber State University.

R. STEVEN BOYER. EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GALILEO

Steve is one of the true pioneers of PrePaid. In 1993 Steve and two others founded what was to become ValuLink, now a First Data Company. ValuLink was the first firm to offer stored Value cards -- now of course referred to as Gift cards, to merchants in a closed loop environment. While at ValueLink Steve worked with dozens of world class merchants like: Blockbuster, WalMart, Sears, Borders, Walgreens, Starbucks, Federated Department Stores, Target Corporation, etc. Following ValuLink, Steve was involved in a few start-ups and IPO's. In 2001, Steve joined WildCard systems -- an Open Loop Prepaid Processor, where Steve was responsible for strategy and enterprise level business relationships. During his tenure, WildCard exploded to become the premier open loop prepaid company in the world. WildCard was later sold to eFunds then eFunds was sold to Fidelity National Information Systems. While and WildCard Steve worked with some world class Payments firms like: American Express, Bank of America, Chase, Citi, Wachovia, Fleet Corp., AmSouth, ADP, Benefit Resources, etc. Most recently, Steve was Chief Revenue Officer at HOPS (Heuristic Optimized Processing Systems), a database software and analytics company. While at HOPS, Steve executed strategy to move the business model to SaaS approach and the technical deployment strategy to Cloud computing. HOPS engineered and developed an approach to harness the power of analytics for marketing opportunities and compliance challenges in financial applications.

SCOTT JOHNSON, VICE PRESIDENT STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS

Mr. Johnson has over 14 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Johnson was responsible for the successful launch of prepaid products at GE Consumer Finance. Previously, Mr. Johnson served as a Senior Product Manager at a wholly owned subsidiary of Sybase, a leading enterprise class internet software banking provider in addition to working at American Express as a Product Marketing Manager. Mr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Utah.

PHILIP CORMIER, VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Cormier has over 16 years experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on delivering innovative subprime financial products through retail distribution. Prior to joining Galileo, Cormier was Vice President of Marketing for ACE Cash Express, and was the chief architect of one of the most successful prepaid programs in the industry. Before joining ACE, Mr. Cormier was Senior Vice President of Marketing for Bank of America and Assistant Vice President of Marketing for The Associates Financial Services Company. Cormier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, Arlington and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.

PETER MAHR, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS

With over 25 years of experience in sales and sales management and over 19 years in the payments industry experience, Mr. Mahr brings experience to Galileo from a host of financial services verticals that includes commerce,  banking and insurance. Prior to joining Galileo , Mr. Mahr served as  Executive Vice President of Sales for Brightwell Payments, an Atlanta based Prepaid Program Manager. Previous to Brightwell, Mr Mahr served as Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development for Skylight Financial a NetSpend Company. Prior to Skylight, Mr. Mahr served as Vice President of  Business Development for Fidelity National Information Systems (FIS), doing business as eFunds Prepaid Solutions (formerly WildCard Systems). Prior to WildCard Systems, Mr. Mahr led the bank sales team for Certegy's Internet Banking Solution (now FIS).

ERIC STRAHM, VICE PRESIDENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SERVICES

Mr. Strahm leads our customer experience teams including account management, client support, and call center services. Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Strahm spent 23 years in the Financial Services and Payments industry in a variety of leadership roles working for Deluxe Corporation, John H. Harland and Corporate Express. During his tenure, he has built and led sales, account management, and operations teams designed to support company growth initiatives. Mr. Strahm has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Utah State University.

CHRIS HARDMAN, VICE PRESIDENT SYSTEM OPERATIONS

Mr. Hardman has over 15 years of professional experience in Information Technology. Prior to joining Galileo, he worked with a number of start-up airlines, including JetBlue Airways, with his primary focus being IT Operations. Mr. Hardman brings to Galileo his experience of critical data center system design and management, project management (hardware/software deployment), network architecture, and operational process development.

MATT BENTLEY, CHIEF ARCHITECT

Mr. Bentley has extensive hands on experience designing, managing, and developing complex software applications. He has also successfully designed, implemented, and managed scalable, redundant, highly available data centers for business critical operations. With over 18 years of experience, Mr. Bentley has worked in many industries including: Financial, retail, health care, manufacturing, government, telecommunications and software. Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Bentley was responsible for technical operations at Talk2 Technology, Inc., where he successfully planned, implemented, and managed procedures for deploying, maintaining, and monitoring Talk2’s advanced telephony services.

RICK NEWTON, VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Newton has over 18 years experience in design, deployment, operations, and management. Prior to joining Galileo, Mr. Newton served as Vice President of Development and Engineering for Talk2 Technology, Inc., and was responsible for creating key pieces in their scalable voice portal infrastructure.
